General Tips Section
Hose Diameters
The original or ‘standard’ diameter for a hose used with CPAP therapy is 22mm and can be used with the majority of CPAP, Auto Adjusting, and BiLevel or BiPAP machines. Some machines require a 15mm tubing referenced as “Thin” or “SlimLineā¢” and are designed to work ONLY with a 15mm hose. Other machines allow for the selection of either a 22mm or a 15mm hose. Still, other machines use ONLY a heated hose specific to that line of devices and cannot use a non-heated hose of any diameter.
The exclusive SlimLine Tube for AirSenseā¢ 10, AirCurveā¢ 10, and S9 CPAP machines, features a streamlined design with a diameter size of 15mm. It is a non-heated hose. It is compatibleĀ ONLYĀ with AirSenseā¢ 10, AirCurveā¢ 10, and S9 machines that can use a 15mm hose. It is not compatible with any machine that uses only a 22mm hose.
Other Notes
This tubing features a smart fit cuff design that willĀ ONLYĀ work with the AirSenseā¢ 10, AirCurveā¢ 10, and S9 Series CPAP Machines. On any other machine, the SlimLineā¢ Tubing will significantly reduce overall pressure at the CPAP mask and may produce erratic pressure outputs for Auto CPAP machines.
